Does Barack Obama Own Occupy Wall Street?

Giuliani: OWS Is Millstone Around Obama’s Neck That Will Take Presidency Down

"I believe that Barack Obama owns the Occupy Wall Street movement",

Rudy Giuliani said at the Defending the American Dream Summit.

"It would not have happened, it would not have happened but for his class warfare. And remember, as it gets worse and worse because it’s going to get worse and worse, where it came from. Barack Obama. He praised it. He supported it. He agrees with it. He sympathizes with it. And as it gets worse and worse, I believe this will be the millstone around Barack Obama’s neck that will take his presidency down".

"How about you occupy a job. How about working? Working. I know that’s tough".

So what do you think?

Will OWS (Occupy Wall Street) be the final straw that breaks Obama’s back?

  1. Knopfman says:

A sign that the Occupy Wall Street movement isn’t the best long-term vehicle for Democrats to connect themselves with:

A new Quinnipiac poll, showing a plurality of voters viewing the group unfavorably.

The poll, released today, shows 30% of voters surveyed view the movement favorably, 39% unfavorably, with an additional 30% not hearing enough to have an opinion.

It’s one of the first national polls to suggest voters are growing skeptical of Occupy Wall Street, and it comes as police have clashed with protesters in several cities.

  2. Jake the Hake says:

73% of Occupy Wall Street protesters disapprove of Obama’s job performance!

According to this poll, only 25% identified themselves as Democrat.

    11% are socialists,

    11% are Green Party,

    12% are something else,

    2% are GOP

And 39% say they don’t identify with any party.

“Barack Obama make a lot of great things in his term”.

Well I can’t even think of one, so perhaps you could remind me.

I could give you a whole list of things that he made worse though.

  6. Eager Watcher says:

A rash of reports of sexual assaults at Occupy Wall Street protests across the country has both police and activists raising red flags.

Nearly a half-dozen assaults have been reported at Occupy camps, including three at the New York City protests, which have prompted protesters to set up a “women only” tent in Manhattan’s Zuccotti Park to provide a safe haven.

“The concern would be the rapes and attacks that aren’t reported,” said Sgt. Ed Mullins, president of the Sergeants Benevolent Association, a police union in New York City. “We have no way of really knowing. If you have three or five crimes reported, you really don’t know if it’s eight or 10 that happened.”

  7. It is definitely possible that the OWS movement is the final straw that breaks Obama’s back. It really depends on how the movement and the protestors react as it gains momentum. I’m not saying the movement should gain momentum, but it probably will. There are too many unemployed, underemployed, and fed up people in this country. It will slowly become more mainstream and, eventually, they will attempt to do more than stand around and whine holding up signs…
