Vilified by her liberal opponents, Great Britain's first and only female prime minister was the patron saint of the conservative movement. But Hollywood's new film about the iconic leader – “The Iron Lady,” starring Meryl Streep …
And if so what is her name, and perhaps some more info too!
I went out with some girlfriends on St. Patrick’s and one of the girls asked, “We we have Saint Patrick, so why don’t we have his female counterpart?
According to the ensuing conversation it seems that Ireland does have a female patron saint, but none of us knew who it was, which is not surprising given the state that we were in by the time the question came up.

If we don’t want our knowledge to die with us, then we must pass it on whilst we’re alive.
I had some good teachers and I pass on what they taught me, so their knowledge survived them.
If they had kept it to themselves then their knowledge would have died with them.
That’s how I see it anyway.
Well I don’t know it all but I try to learn and like the idea of being able to disseminate what I’ve learned because I’m not sure what will happen to my hard earned knowledge when I croak
I reckon that Saint Brigid of Kildare or Brigid of Ireland (Brigit, Bridget, Bridgit,or Bríd) (Irish: Naomh Bríd) (c. 451–525) is the name that you’re look for and her feast day February 1, which is the traditional first day of spring in Ireland.
Saint Brigid is thought to have been an Irish Christian nun, abbess, and also the founder of several monasteries.
It might be of additional interest to note that St. Patrick is not the only patron saint of Ireland, even though he’s the best known and celebrated.
Saint Columba (December 7, 521 – June 9 597 AD), also known as Colum Cille (meaning “Dove of the church”) is also a patron saint of Ireland.
He was one of the twelve apostles of Ireland, and many of his supporters claim that he introduced Christianity to the Picts during the Early Medieval Period.
Just like knopfman I am only familiar with Brigit of Kildare. My grandma use to tell her stories when we were young. Her miracles are all about healing and tasks on women.
